The pup-friendly, ninth annual NOLA on Tap beer festival takes over City Park’s Festival Grounds on Saturday from noon to 7 p.m., with early VIP entry at 11 a.m.
Festival-goers can sample more than 400 local, national and home-brewed beers all for a good cause at the Louisiana SPCA’s largest fundraising event.
This dog-friendly beer festival also features an live music, food vendors, games, prizes, Beer Judge Certification Program awards and Barktoberfest – a section of dog friendly activities at the festival.
“As a proud member of the New Orleans brewing community, we are happy to be a part of this event which brings all the best local beer together showcasing the quality and diversity of the beer scene in our city. The fact that the event includes a homebrewing component only serves to highlight the passion for beer that is buzzing in our community right now. We wholeheartedly believe in the mission of the Louisiana SPCA and are glad to support any and all of their efforts,” Chase Guillory, director of marketing and communication at Port Orleans Brewing Company, said.
This year’s music lineup includes the Givers, Cha Wa and Sexual Thunder. Food vendors include festival goer favorites like Bratz Y’all and Miss Linda – The Yakamein Lady with non-beer drinks from Velvet Cactus.
“It’s the perfect way to celebrate with your friends and to enjoy a plethora of great beers all for a good cause that gives back to our four-legged friends. Last year you helped us raise about $300,000 for the homeless animals in our community,”Louisiana SPCA CEO Ana Zorrilla said.
Admission for NOLA on Tap is $5, and beer tickets are $1 each. Ticket packages can be purchased in advance online or individual tickets sold at the door.
