Restaurant Week New Orleans returns to serve dining deals this summer

Now in its 11th year, Restaurant Week New Orleans launches another helping of dining deals to support local eateries from June 21 to June 27.

Normally scheduled in September, the annual dining promotion returns just in time for summer and when the City has eased many COVID-19 restrictions.

Nearly 70 restaurants are ready to offer dining deals, and many establishments continue to embrace the takeout trend brought on by the pandemic by offering to-go options.

During this weeklong celebration of New Orleans cuisine, participating restaurants in the New Orleans metro area will offer special pre-fixe menus including a two-course lunch for $25 or less and a three-course dinner or brunch for $45 or less. The diverse lineup of participating restaurants ranges from fine-dining establishments to neighborhood favorites.

The Louisiana Restaurant Association, which partners with New Orleans & Company to organize the annual dining promotion, said the “timing of this year’s event is fortuitous” with fewer restrictions and a lifted city-wide mask mandate for vaccinated individuals.

“People are returning to our beloved restaurants with confidence in the industry,” LRA president and CEO Stan Harris said in a release. “Some people haven’t visited our restaurants in over a year, and now, as more people are getting vaccinated, they’ll hopefully feel a little more comfortable dining out in one of our world famous establishments.”
