Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella is coming to New Orleans.
From creators of The King & I and The Sound of Music, the musical will be in town for one weekend only at the Saenger Theatre Friday, April 12 to Sunday, April 14, 2019.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m.
The musical offers a brand new take on the tale of a young woman who is transformed from a chambermaid to a princess and adds some surprising twists. But, don’t worry there will still be a glass slipper, pumpkin carriage and beautiful ball for Cinderella to attend. Cinderella is a contemporary figure living in a fairytale setting who doesn’t let her rags or her gowns trip her up in her quest for kindness, compassion and forgiveness. Not only does she fight for her own dreams, she forces the prince to realizes his dreams too.
The musical is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2018-2019 season. Hancock Whitney President Joe Exnicios says the play “promises to be a treat for audiences of all ages.”

Friday – Saturday 8 p.m.
Saturday, 2 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m., 6:30 p.m.
