Shake Shack will open its new flagship location in downtown New Orleans on Dec. 3, the company announced in a release.
The popular burger chain’s third New Orleans area location will open in Canal Place at 333 Canal Street, on the corner of Canal Street and North Peters. The building will feature an outdoor patio and utilizes recycled and sustainable materials in the construction.
The 3,411-square-foot Shake Shack will serve wine and beer, including local brews from Abita Brewery, Nola Brewing Company, Dixie Beer and Second Line Brewing.
Shake Shake will also spin up a selection of frozen custard concretes featuring pies from Haydel’s Bakery and chocolate chip cookies from Willa Jean.
The modern day “roadside” burger stand opened two other locations in the New Orleans area in 2019. The first Louisiana location opened at 3501 Veterans Memorial Boulevard in Metairie, and the second location recently opened inside the new terminal at the the Louis Armstrong International Airport.
Opening day festivities begin at 10:30 a.m., including a brass band and a Shack Second-line before doors open to the public at 11 a.m. The first 100 people in line when doors open at 11 a.m. will receive a custom Shake Shack tote filled with swag, the company announced in a release.
Shake Shack is a critically acclaimed, modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100 percent all-natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches and griddled flat-top dogs, with no added hormones or antibiotics. The menu also features fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle-cut fries, craft beer, wine and more.
