Simple but delicious
If you’re struggling to think of the perfect dessert to make for your next holiday get together then look no further! Amy Jason at Cookie Fix in Homewood has an irresistible recipe that’s so simple anyone can make it. You’re guests will be begging you for more!
Pick your dough
Any type of cookie will work but for today’s recipe we went with a cookie classic: Chocolate chip.
Baked just right
Bake the dough for 10-12 minutes. You want it to be just slightly under-baked. Make sure you let it sit for about 5-10 minutes so that when you add the ice cream on top it doesn’t melt immediately.
Add ice cream
Pick out your favorite ice cream. For some people a simple classic like vanilla is a perfect match. More adventurous flavors like coffee or mint chocolate chip also work great!
Finish with Chocolate Ganache
Here’s a simple recipe for Chocolate Ganache:
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup cream
Place both ingredients into a microwave-safe dish and heat for 2 minutes. Remove from the microwave and stir until smooth.
Put the finishing touches on your creation by drizzling a chocolate ganache over the top.
