2018 Slidell Heritage Festival features extended kids area

Gather up the kids! The Slidell Heritage Festival has expanded the kids area for the 21st annual event.

The Slidell Heritage Festival is June 30 at Heritage Park in Slidell.

The kids area features a new maze, pony rides, an obstacle course, a fire truck, and bounce houses.

There will also be a fireworks show at 9:00 p.m.

The New Orleans Mystics-Days of Motown will take the stage at 5:30 p.m.  7 Bridges: Ultimate Eagles Experience will take us from 7:30 to the giant fireworks show at 9 p.m. Bag of Donuts, a New Orleans band will entertain from 9:30 to 11:00 p.m.

A dozen food and drink booths will feature traditional festival fare.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 4 to 12 years; children 3 and younger are admitted free. There is also free parking.
