Chocolate Beignets

A chocolate beignet seems like the ultimate guilty pleasure. New Orleans Coffee & Beignet Company features its chocolate version of the traditional French-style doughnut. In fact, they’ve dubbed themselves the “Home of the Orignal Chocolate Beignet.” Photo courtesy: Beignet Fest

Cochon Beignet

Ruby Slipper creates something special just for the fest. Check out their dish featuring apple-braised pulled pork stuffed in a buttermilk biscuit beignet, served with a creole aioli. The restaurant says it takes two of their signature dishes, cochon & biscuits, and combines them into one delicious bite. Photo courtesy: Beignet Fest

Oyster Beignets

Royal House serves up their savory rendition at the fest. Oysters are fried in tempura batter and finished with a Crystal beurre blance sauce (or a French white butter sauce) and cane syrup. Royal House also offers this dish as an appetizer on their restaurant menu. Photo courtesy: Beignet Fest
