‘The Sandlot’ is set to return to the big screen in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary.

The 1993 coming-of-age baseball film directed by David Mickey Evans spawned iconic quotes like, “You’re killing me, Smalls!” “You play ball like a girl!” and “For-ev-ver!”

In honor of the milestone, Fantom Events brings the cult classic back to theaters for two days: July 22 and July 24. The screening will also feature a sneak peek of a documentary on the making of the film.

Showings in the New Orleans area will take place at AMC Elmwood Palace 20 on July 22 at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and on July 24 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

‘The Sandlot’ tells the story of the new kid in town, Scotty Smalls, who makes friends with a young baseball prodigy and joins his baseball team resulting in many adventures during the summer in the early 1960s.

Fans exploded when the cast recently reunited in early June 2018 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film.
