Hop to a festival.
Two huge festivals take over the area this weekend. Families can start a new Labor Day weekend tradition by checking out the inaugural Freedom Fest at the Lake. Also, Southern Decadence dominates the French Quarter scene this week, with festivities beginning Thursday, Aug. 31 and extending throughout the Labor Day weekend.
