‘Tis the season: Here’s where to get your Eggnog Daiquiri fix around New Orleans

Here’s another New Orleans tradition that typically marks the start of the holiday season: the return of Cajun eggnog.

Usually, the beloved, boozy beverage makes the perfect addition to a holiday party. However, since we’re in the coronavirus era, you might have to share the festive drink over your next Zoom gathering.

Hey, Alexa, play “What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas?”

The seasonal drink typically pops up at your nearest drive-thru daiquiri shop and on cocktail menus around Thanksgiving — in some cases, right after Halloween.

That festive, frosty concoction balances the booze with the perfect hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. Yep, we’re feeling the Christmas spirit.

Here’s a list of spots offering delicious eggnog daiquiris for the holidays.

The holiday cocktail is a classic egg-based milk punch frozen and perfectly spiced with a “secret recipe.”

In keeping with the holiday spirit, Gris-Gris is also hosting its first annual Mangé Loa Holiday Menu, available through Dec. 24. You can feast on the four-course, Voodoo-inspired menu based on the concept of a Voodoo ceremony, Mangé Loa, meaning “feasting of the gods.”
