“The safety of our guests comes first. We know everyone was looking forward to a great event and we will put one on in May. With 100% of the  proceeds going to foster children in the city, we hope that locals will understand and continue to support a great cause,” founder/director Shane Finkelstein said.

The taco and tequila-centric festival was set to feature some of the best chefs and mixologists from nearly 50 restaurants in the city competing for top honors. Participants would compete in four coveted award categories: Top Creative Taco, Top Traditional Taco, Top Creative Tequila Cocktail and Top Traditional Margarita. The grand tasting included restaurants like Agave House, Arana, Rum House, La Casita and Johnny Sanchez.

All tickets purchased previously will be honored on the new date. Refunds will be available beginning this Thursday, March 14 at original point of purchase.
