Vlasic releasing crispy dill pickle chips made from actual pickles

Vlasic takes things up a notch with a new snack for pickle lovers.

Say hello to Vlasic Pickle Chips! That’s right – the brand is releasing pickle chips made from acutal pickles. Vlasic, the brand behind many of your favorite pickles, is finding new ways to make it easier to enjoy your favorite snack.

“Pickles has always been a flavor that people have loved in snacks, whether it’s potato chips or even in our Bigs Vlasic dill sunflower seeds,” Thomas M. McGough, co-chief operation officer and executive vice-president, of Conagra Brands said in a statement to Food Business News.  “But pickles themselves are a great snack…eating pickles out of a conventional jar is inconvenient and messy, and pickle snacks are actually becoming a thing, particularly in c-stores. So we’ve created Vlasic single-serve pickle slices and also Vlasic vacuum-fried pickle chips that taste absolutely fantastic.”

There isn’t an official release date yet, but it’s possible they will fly off shelves once they hit stores. Think about it — your favorite potato chips but with a lot more tang. We’ve seen pickle flavored chips before. However, this time around, the pickle itself will be in delectable chip form.

Pickles have come a long way, and their popularity has grown over the years. Vlasic wants to keep feeding our obsession with these new pickle chips, along with upcoming single-serve pickle slices. Both items seem a lot more portable than carrying a jar of pickles around, and hopefully they’ll be just as delicious.
