Voodoo Fest 2019: Guns N’ Roses, Post Malone and Beck headline

Guns N’ Roses, Post Malone, Beck are among the big names set to hit the stages at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience 2019, when the festival takes over City Park on Oct. 25 to Oct. 27, festival organizers announced.

Nearly 70 bands will rock on four stages in City Park during Halloween weekend in New Orleans.

The lineup will also bring fans performances from Bassnectar, Brandi Carlile, The National, REZZ, Zhu, Young the Giant, Interpol, Sheck Wes, Bring Me the Horizon, Big Gigantic, Clairo, Glitch Mob, among others.

New this year is GA+, the ideal ticket for those looking to step up their Voodoo Fest experience with additional perks. GA+ offers a private lounge area with seating and shade, air-conditioned restrooms, full-service bar with beer, wine, and cocktails for purchase, and a screen with live stage feeds.

Festival organizers launch the inaugural King or Queen of Halloween Costume Contest. To participate, festival-goers can wear their best Halloween look that reflects one of three categories — Grotesque & Gorgeous Gore, Intergalactic: Outta This World, or Wild Card WTF OMG Amazing.

A panel of judges will select one winner to receive a pair of 3-Day Loa VIP Tickets to Voodoo 2020, crown and sash, plus automatic entry to next year’s costume contest.

Also new this year, Voodoo adds a House of Blues lounge right across from the Mortuary. The lounge features live music, cocktails, food offerings, and fall sports on the television.

Organizers also expand the Mortuary Fright Zone, the walk-thru haunted house experience at Voodoo Fest. Also back are the interactive graveyard and freaky photo-ops.

Gates open each day at noon. General admission tickets start at $80.

Festival-goers will also experience immersive large-scale art installations, as well as the best of local New Orleans’ coveted culinary offerings.
