Hammond is set to welcome many new businesses, especially a few in the beer and burgers category. Stirling Properties announces that Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar and Five Guys are coming to Hammond Square shopping center.
They expect to begin construction at the end of 2019. The plan is to open the fan-favorite dining spots in summer 2020, according to Stirling Properties.
Local franchisee DBMC Restaurants will close on the purchase of 1.35 acres of property for Walk-On’s. The restaurant will occupy approximately 8,025 square feet of space.
That’s plenty of room for spacious bar tops and a dozen flat screen TVs! The restaurant is a popular destination for community and game day gatherings.
This will be the third Northshore location for Walk-On’s. Originally beginning in Baton Rouge, the bar and kitchen now serves up at over 100 locations across 15 states.
Also joining Walk-On’s and Five Guys in Hammond Square are Michaels, HomeGoods, PetSmart and Five Below.
These new additions come after quite a few renovations in the large shopping center. The community said good-bye to stores like Rite-Aid and JCPenny to make way for these new spots.
The Tangipahoa Parish shopping center is located on approximately 100 acres. See it on the northwest corner of Interstate 12 and US Highway 51 Business in Hammond.
Stirling Properties currently manages the space. The real estate firm says the shopping center is the second largest open-air center in Louisiana. It has more than 40 national and local retailers, shops and restaurants.
Many new employment opportunities are expected to open with these new additions.
